Elizabeth Witt was born in Rochester, NY but spent her childhood summers with her grandparents in vineyards surrounding Keuka Lake. After they retired, the joy of summer days spend among the vines lay dormant until a winery visit with out-of-town family rekindled a nostalgic spark. She enrolled in the Viticulture and Wine Technology program at Finger Lakes Community College hoping to one day own a small vineyard. Shortly after enrolling she discovered the challenges and rewards found in the cellar. Beth graduated from the FLCC program in 2013 and is looking forward to her fourth harvest in 2014, her first as the assistant winemaker at Anthony Road.
"I find the rewarding aspect of winemaking to be the art and craftsmanship. There is always something to learn and countless ways to improve one's craft. I am excited to be working at a winery well known for its industry leadership and passionate commitment to quality, but also to be part of a group of extremely hard working people dedicated to the ultimate success of the team" Beth lives near Shortsville, NY with her husband, Aaron, and their cats.
