Union Square Greenmarket 17th & Broadway NYC
After nearly 30 years the Martini family is retiring from the GrowNYC GreenMarket.
Anthony Road will pitch the tent for the last time at Union Square on Saturday, February 11th and in Jackson Heights on Sunday, February 12th.
Participating in the NYC farmers’ markets has been a pleasure and a privilege. John Martini began selling Anthony Road wines at the markets in 1995. The long days selling wine on the street corner are unforgettable. The energy of the city, the fascinating people, and the longtime friendships will continue to inspire and influence the Anthony Road story.
In the fall of 2021, John retired from the market and his son-in-law, Michael, took the reins. In addition to his role as Director of Sales, Michael began making the weekly trip to the farmers’ markets.
Michael’s energy has become a hot commodity as our distribution partnerships, national sales, and direct-to-retail relationships continue to grow. Deciding to give up the markets has been a difficult decision but the effort, energy, and resources dedicated to the markets will be better utilized closer to home.
We look forward to continued opportunities to connect with many partners, wine club members, and friends in and around the city. Going forward, we will be working to ensure our wines are in your local shop and on the menu at your favorite dinner spot. We will be reaching out to our colleagues to plan wine dinners and tastings in the greater metropolitan area.
Remaining Markets:
If you are looking to have our wines on your table more frequently, we encourage you to join our wine club and have our wines delivered to your home or office.
It has been a true pleasure to share our wines via the GrowNYC GreenMarket and we are profoundly grateful for all of your support.
